Directions

We are located ½ mile southeast of Hardinsburg, Indiana — along US Hwy 150 between Paoli & Palmyra.

Welcome to Hardinsburg!

We are a Christ-centered family of believers who gather in Hardinsburg, Indiana to worship God in Spirit and in Truth, and from there aspire to bring the saving message of Jesus Christ to our communities. If you do not have a home church, we welcome you to join us!

All Who Are Thirsty

Our worship services are open to everyone — regardless of your denominational background, or whether you have even been to a church service before in your life. We aren't here to pass judgement on anyone. We also believe that worship is a way of life. You are free to come as you are. No tie required.

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty expanse.
Praise Him for His mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.
Praise Him with tambourine and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flute.
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Everything that has breath shall praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!
Psalm 150:1-6 NASB

Worship

We strive:

  • to usher in the presence of the living God
    through songs and sounds of biblical truths.
  • to make a place for worshippers to offer God
    their adoration and praise.
  • to bring their offerings and make their prayers.

We are home to a modern worship band, but we follow the Holy Spirit, not the billboard charts. Although God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, scripture also teaches us that His mercies are new every morning. So we come to Him with instruments to sing to the Lord a new song, often even original songs, as directed by the Holy Spirit.

Message

Messages preached are relevant and Biblically sound for today's world. With the struggles we face as a body of believers, we need to hear the voice of truth found in scripture. We preach Jesus as the One and only way to eternal life. We offer times of prayer and time of personal reflection for those to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. We also believe in the laying on of hands and prayer for divine healing.

Children's Church

Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he grows older he will not abandon it.Proverbs 22:6 NASB

REC

Our church is involved with Residents Encounter Christ — a community of believers in Jesus offering three-day weekends to those confined in jail and prison facilities. County sheriffs and wardens allow men and women to offer love and hope to men and women who may have never experienced the love or the forgiveness that God offers to them.
Volunteers from many different churches offer this through a weekend of praise and worship, and personal testimonies from many who have been incarcerated and found God's love and forgiveness while doing time in these places.
Our prayer for those men and women is that they would come to a place where they accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior for the forgiveness of their sins and past deeds.
Many in the jails and prisons do not have any hope for their lives. The REC community offers hope through a relationship with Jesus.

To open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoner from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.Isaiah 42:7

Bible Study

It's so important to study God's holy word, growing with one another. Proverbs 1:5 (NIV) tells us to "Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance." We offer sound Biblical teaching to help you grow in your walk with the Lord on Wednesday evenings at 6:30.

Walk to Emmaus

We are proud to be involved with the Dayspring Emmaus Community, whose website can be found here. Their website states:

The walk to Emmaus is an experience of Christian spiritual renewal and formation that begins with a three-day short course in Christianity. It is an opportunity to meet Jesus Christ in a new way as God’s grace and love is revealed to you through other believers...

The objective of Emmaus is to inspire, challenge, and equip the local church members for Christian action in their homes, churches, communities and places of work. Emmaus lifts up a way for our grace-filled lives to be lived and shared with others.

A Family in Christ

We believe that the whole family needs to be nurtured in the knowledge and revelation from God. We offer sound Biblical teaching to all age groups.

God has ordained the family unit and, now more than ever, our families are under an attack from Satan. We need to come together for praise and worship, and share one another’s burdens — loving God and one another.

Our Beliefs

As an Assemblies of God church, we stand on the Assemblies of God's sixteen fundamental truths. The full text of the fundamental truths, and their biblical citations, can be accessed here. They can be summarized as:

  1. The Old and New Testaments of the Bible are the inspired and infalliable word of God.
  2. There is only one true God, manifest in the three persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  3. The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal son of God; He came to Earth as a man born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, demonstrated His diety through miracles, died on a cross in satisfaction of the penalty of sin, was raised from the dead, and sits exalted at the right hand of the Father.
  4. Though Man was created good and upright, through voluntary transgression, man has fallen, incurring both physical and spiritual death.
  5. Man can be saved, but only through the blood of Jesus.
  6. Scripture commands both baptism (by immersion) in water and the Lord's Supper for all who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord
  7. Baptism in the Holy Spirit, as experienced by the initial Apostles, has not ceased. It is something to which all earnestly seeking believers are entitled.
  8. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is made evident by the speaking of other tongues.
  9. While grace is a gift freely given by Christ, all believers are required to seperate one's self from evil, and dedicate one's self to God; this is called sanctification.
  10. The gift of the Holy Spirit is necessary to fulfill the purposes of ministry and the Church.
  11. The purpose of ministry and the Church is to be an angency of God for evangelizing the world, to be a corporate body in which Man may worship God, to be a channel of God’s purpose to build a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son, and to be a people who demonstrate God’s love and compassion for all the world.
  12. That divine healing was provided for by the sacrifice of Jesus, and is the privilege of all believers.
  13. The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their coming together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the church.
  14. The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for one thousand years.
  15. There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
  16. "We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness." (2 Peter 3:13 KJV)
